about

Haverfordwest is such a small quiet place, and it's so lovely. But also bizarre. As you'll hear at the end of this session, a street brawl begins happening just down the road from where I was busking. I heard what sounded like something hitting a car, then the door opening and many many punches. It escalated quickly and it sounded like a full-on brawl, to turn and see it, it practically was. Many kids probably the age of 13 gathered as well as adults all fighting over something...... so I packed up, every shop owner stepped out and the sound of police was drawing closer. Then a kid ran past look petrified being chased by a few angry-looking adults. I was later told that the kids here have half-day on Friday and often go around the town getting drunk on cheap vodkas. Alcohol really f**king sucks, it changes people so much and because it's so easily accessible it can do some deep damage with ease.

On a lighter note, I met a loving woman called 'Cat', who passed on so many kind words of encouragement and belief in the music. She was fascinated by the fact that I just busk and travel. She too has had an incredible journey across the world, following her partner's skateboarding competitions and raising children. She documents her project here - www.facebook.com/catmarshallco - which works on helping women take fearless action in their work and life. Encouraging them to follow that which their heart tells them to. Her energy is incredible and afterward many busking sessions in Haverfordwest, we spoke over coffee where she told me more on her life and story.

Music connects us!

Following what your heart and soul feel inclined to do, also aids in connecting us!

Follow what your heart and soul tell you and make a leap of faith!
