about

Arriving at Carmarthen to busk, I sat and my mind wandered to many strange places. I found myself asking unproductive questions, doubting myself and this music and putting myself down. It stopped me busking for some time, and a cycle of negative words came. So I stood up, said 'nah fk it' and immediately set up to busk, forcing my mind to shut up. It worked because as soon as I played the first few notes, I felt much calmer.

Busking for me is like medicine. It really is, the freedom of music creation, the freedom of playing almost anywhere and the connection with the people who pass by, is a really healing experience. It makes everything seem okay and clears the doubt that creeps in.

So I'm glad I played :)

Followed by a few beers and conversations with Ken form the Pantyrathro International Hostel.
